2013 Artisan Finalists Blog Hop - Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the Artisan Finalists Blog Hop! I am super excited to finally be able to share the projects that I created for the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Contest! The first card I want to share with you is pretty simple and straight forward. It features the "Up, Up, and Away" stamp set (now retired); the color scheme is Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Pacific Point, Pool Party, and Basic Black. 

I used the Gumball Green Polka Dot pattern from the 2012-2014 In Color DSP Stack to create a custom envelope with the help of my Simply Scored and Diagonal Plate. I just love the ability to do this! A custom envelope helps make the card feel special. The inside of the card is also finished (but I don't have a picture of it, or any of the insides of any of my cards) with Whisper White CS and another stamped image.

The Calypso Coral hot air balloon was stamped on scrap CS, and cut out with Paper Snips and poped up with a dimensional. The saying is embossed with Basic Black embossing powder, making it stand out just a little bit more. When embossing be sure to use your Embossing Buddy for perfect results!
