I hope you are enjoying the blog hop so far. There are so many great projects yet to share!
Today, I thought I would share one of my 3D projects. This is an embellished canvas with lots of detail.
I went through four canvas before I got the background right! First, I painted the canvas with white acrylic paint colored with Raspberry Ripple reinker. Then, I stamped words like "enjoy" and "smile" on Vellum CS and cut the letters out with an x-acto knife to create a stencil. I then used a sponge dauber with Raspberry Ripple ink on the canvas.
The petals were created using a variety of circle punches by punching out a circle then inserting it back into the punch to get the pointed oval shape. I also used the scallop oval punch to create some variety and interest. There are two layers for each petal and they were stitched together using linen thread...by hand. Yup, it took forever to do this, but I loved the result!
