Welcome to Day 4 of the Artisan Finalists Blog Hop! There have been some really great projects so far, haven't there? I have my first scrapbook page to share with you today, and it's super fun! I love how this page accents the pictures, but lets the pictures still be the focus.
Making the splatters is so much fun! You have to give it a try! All you have to do is take a little bit of water, add a little bit of reinker in the color of your choice, and pick up the colored water with a sponge dauber. Then just go straight down onto your paper kinda fast. POW! I then used an Aqua Painter to fill in the center. This technique works best on Watercolor Paper or the Canvas Creations.
I originally tried to mask the "Create," but the water seeped under it so I had to put Whisper White letters over it. It was kind of a happy accident though, because I like how the ink follows the shape of the letters.
When I scrapbook, sometimes I'm in the mood to journal and sometimes I'm not. For my Artisan pages I was not. So, I did a little bit of looking online and found the perfect quote!
I finished off the page with some Brights Designer Buttons with Whisper White Baker's Twine on some of the splatters.
