Monday Montage - Chevron & Burlap Wreath

Welcome to the second Monday Montage Blog Hop! It truly is great to be able to continue to get to know these wonderful ladies. I can't wait to see all their fabulous projects today! Onto my project for today...

I am sure you have seen burlap wreaths all over Pinterest and blogs. Well, Stampin' Up! has some fabulous Burlap Ribbon in the Holiday Catalog, and I decided I wanted to make one of those awesome wreaths. I am really happy with how it turned out!

I bought a wire wreath frame from a big box craft store to use as my base. My original intention was to have the burlap go all the way around the wreath, but I soon realized I didn't have near enough. So, I came up with Plan B, and used the burlap I had, and then wrapped the rest of the wreath frame with Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon. I love the two ribbons together!

I embellished the wreath with a scrunch flower and sentiment. A scrunch flower is super easy to make!  Jut layer together some pieces of DSP and/or cardstock (I used 5 layers cut with the Floral Frames Framelits Dies) and attach them together. Then spritz each layer with water and scrunch it! I opened my flower up and put a Crushed Curry button in the center. Also, the "Celebrate Today" is heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder to make stand out.

    1. I wish I could tell you exactly how I did it, but I can't! You just kind of weave it in and out on the wire wreath form. I had to play with it some before I got the hang of it. I just used glue at the ends; it holds itself together. Hope that helps some!
