Monday Montage - Coaster Board Notebook

Welcome to another Monday Montage! I hope you are enjoying this blog hop as much as we are! This week I have a cute little notebook to share with you. The cover of this notebook is made out of Coaster Board. If you haven't gotten any Coaster Board yet, you need to! It is thinner than chip board but stronger than regular cardstock.

The finished size of this notebook is 3"x5". I used a brayer to color the Coaster Board Daffodil Delight on the outside and Smoky Slate on the inside. I also spritzed both side with Vanilla Smooch Spritz so there would be a little bit of sparkle (which doesn't show up in the pictures).

For the paper inside I used three sheets of 4-3/4"x5-3/4" Whisper White cardstock scored in the middle at 2-7/8". The pages and cover are just simply stiched together. I ended up having to stitch it together by hand, but I paper-pierced the holes first to make it easier.

I used the Positively Chevron background stamp and Bermuda Bay ink to make the flag. I wasn't too worried about it being perfect (which was kinda fun for a change!) because it goes well with the uneven color the brayer created. A Smoky Slate button and some Whisper White Baker's Twine provides a nice finishing touch.

"Notes" is stamped with the ABC-123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers stamp set. I embossed the letters with Smoky Slate Embossing Powder and filled them in with my white gel pen. I really like how the embossing and gel pen pop off of the Daffodil Delight!

I jazzed up the back with a strip of Bermuda Bay chevron stamped cardstock with a zig-zag stitch down the middle.
