Let
me begin by saying Happy Birthday to my mom! For those of you that
don't know, my mom and I are very close. Have you ever seen Gilmore
Girls? We are kind of like that! She is the one who got me involved in
stamping in the first place, and we spend lots of time together in
Scrapbook World. :) Anyways, here is my card that I have to share with
you today.

I used the Label Card Thinlit Die to make this card. Rather than just using the die as is, I added an extra flap and made it shorter. To make the extra flap, just cut your card stock longer than the die and bring the end over the top of the die. It is super simple! I then cut my card down to 4-1/2" (I think), making it extra cute and sweet!
The heart of hearts is from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and the "bravo" is from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set. I heat embossed the bravo with White Embossing Powder and then cut it out with the banner framelit that is included with the Label Card Thinlit Die. I think my favorite part about these card dies are all the extra pieces!
Because of this card's unique size, I made a custom envelope using the Envelope Punch Board and Crisp Cantaloupe polka-dot Designer Series Paper. If you haven't gotten an Envelope Punch Board yet, you need to! It is great for making custom envelopes and it can be used for so many other projects (see the treat holders I made with it here!).

Your card looks so flat...did you burnish the daylights out of the folds to get it to lie that way? This is a challenge for me with the cards I create with the Thinlits card dies. Thanks :-)
