Hi everyone! This month's card challenge over on Catherine & Cathy Create is Oh, Christmas Tree. There are lots of great stamp sets with trees in them, but I wanted to build a Christmas Tree out of a non-Christmas Stamp Set. So, I use the small square from Hello, Lovely and my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make this card (I would not attempt this without a Stamp-a-ma-jig). I am really happy with how it turned out!
The finished size of this card is 6"x6-3/4" to fit the Hello, Lovely tree. I "ruffled" some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding as an accent to the side of the tree. The star was cut out of Champagne Glimmer Paper with the star that is included with the Circle Card Thinlit Die. I also broke out the sewing machine to finish the card off.
The "Merry Christmas" is embossed in Gold Embossing Powder on Vellum Cardstock. The Vellum lets the image behind it still be seen. I cut it to be just a tad bit longer than than the white, so when I glued it on each end it would curve up in the middle.
