Banner Blast Ruffles - Monday Montage

Yay! It's another Monday Montage blog hop! I am SUPER excited to share this card with you today! Do you ever get an idea in your head and just have to get it out on paper??? Well that was this card for me. I have no clue where the idea came from to make ruffles out of banners, but it turned out exactly as I had envisioned!

Just look at all of that texture!!! I wanted the card to be all over the same color but not the same (if that makes sense), so I used Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral for the main colors. By using these close colors, the banners all feel connected with being a big block of the same color.

To make the ruffles, I just stamped a bunch of the banners from the Banner Blast stamp set in both colors and punched them out with the Banner Punch (I also did some solid card stock of each color). I also, curled the ends of each one with my bone folder. Then I just started layering on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock. The only tip I have for you, is just try not to get too many of the same color or pattern next to each other.

I stamped the "Hi" banner in Coastal Cabana so it would really stand out. A quick stitch across the top of the card was the perfect way to finish this card! For the most part, I would say that this is a pretty easy card to make with a big "wow" factor.

Stampin' Supplies:
  • Banner Blast (SAB) stamp set
  • Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, and Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' Pads
  • Whisper White CS
  • Banner Punch (SAB)
  • Sewing Machine w. White Thread
Be sure to click the "Next" button (or "Back" if that is what floats your boat) to see the others' amazing projects!

Smiles :)
Kaitlyn
