Father's Day Card

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great day spending time with their family yesterday. While I love being able to take advantage of these study abroad trips, I am a little bummed to have missed spending Father's Day with my dad. I was on top of things this year though, and did have a card ready for him.

I think one of the keys to a great masculine card is to keep it simple. I stamped "Happy Father's Day" with the Metro Type Alphabet stamp set. I kept the colors very bold by using Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Tangelo Twist. Then just a couple of layers and some quick stitching completed this card.

Have you noticed that all of the new alphabet stamp sets are now photopolymer??? This is great for a couple of different reasons. First, they are clear all the way through, so the alignment of letters is much easier. Second, they take up less room so you have more space for more stamps! All the letters will now fit in one case instead of coming in multiple cases. Lastly, they are a lot less expensive. Getting an alphabet stamp set is no longer a big investment, so you can go ahead and splurge on two alphabet sets!
