Baker's Twine Background - Monday Montage

Hey everyone! Welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! I can't wait to see what everyone else has created!! Today I have a fun card to share with you.

Isn't that background super fun?!?! To create it, I made my own stamp by wrapping some Baker's Twine around a Clear Block. I then inked it up with Daffodil Delight and stamped it multiple times to create a repeating pattern. Easy and fun! I think you could easily go crazy with this technique!

This card is a little bit different for me in that it isn't neat and tidy. I roughed up the edges of the Whisper White Card Stock with my Stampin' Distress Tool. Then I just layered a bunch of stuff: an image from Gorgeous Grunge, Doilies, Chocolate Chip Chevron Ribbon, an Old Olive Word Bubble, some Lost Lagoon Satin Ribbon, and a bit of random stitching. By crumbling up the Old Olive piece and leaving loose tread, I was able to give the card a more organic (rather than polished) feeling.

Stampin' Supplies:
  • Lots of Thanks and Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Sets
  • Daffodil Delight and Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pads
  • Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive CS
  • White Baker's Twine with a Clear Block (background stamp)
  • Paper Doilies
  • Chocolate Chip Chevron Ribbon
  • Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin Ribbon
  • Word Bubble Framelits
  • Sewing Machine with White Thread

Smiles :)
