Congrats with Stars

Two things that were on the top of my wish list when the new Annual Catalog came out were the Little Letters Thinlits Dies and Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks. I was so excited last weekend to use them both to make a simple graduation card.

I found it easiest to use the stencil with a Stampin Spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and reinker. It is best to not over-spritz on the stencil, so if you want a more saturated color, add more reinker to your mixture first. After the Crushed Curry stars, I moved the stencil and brayered Versa Mark over it and embossed the stars with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. This was a great way to add some subtle sparkle to the card.

Once I was happy with all my stars, I then cut out the "Congrats" with the Little Letters Thinlits. I used these dies with my Magnetic Platform, which made it super easy to line the letters up and cut them all at once. Sooo easy! I finished the card off with a little embellishment of a paper clip and some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. This colors on this card could be easily swapped out for any school!
