Happy Halloween PLxSU Style - CCC#047

Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting yesterday; it just totally slipped my mind! The good news is that I do have a post for you today. There is a new card challenge on Catherine & Cathy Create. Again the challenge is to create something for Halloween, but we had a specific color challenge. What stood out to me in the picture (see it on Catherine & Cathy Create) was that green chair. Who would have ever thought to use green for Halloween??? Lime green is my favorite color though, so I ran with it!

I flipped though the cards in the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life Card Collection and found this one that says "Happy Halloween" with an Old Olive spider. A perfect starting point! I trimmed the Project Life card down and paired it with another card from the same collection. I distressed the edges of the second card like crazy to create a more Halloween feel. To get an even more distressed Halloween feel, I also sponged some black ink over the Old Olive layer that was embossed with the Wood Grain Embossing Folder.

There is also some purple in the picture that inspired this color challenge, so I just stapled a piece of Blackberry Bliss Ribbon to the card. Those color sequins are so adorable! They come from the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life Accessory Pack. To adhere sequins to your projects, I suggest using just a small dot of the Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

Stampin' Supplies:
  • Seasonal Snapshot Project Life Card Collection
  • Seasonal Snapshot Project Life Accessory Pack
  • Old Olive Card Stock
  • StazOn Ink
  • Sponge
  • Blackberry Bliss Stitiched Satin Ribbon
  • Handheld Stapler with Mini Staples
  • Stampin' Distress Tool
  • Sewing Machine
Now head on over to Catherine & Cathy Create to join in on all the Halloween fun!

Smiles :)
Kaitlyn
