Star Christmas Candles - CCC#052

Hi everyone! Now that it is December, I can get on board with Christmas decorations. The new challenge over on Catherine & Cathy Create is perfect for getting your home ready for Christmas, by creating your own holiday home decor.

I decided to make a set of pretty Cherry Cobbler and Silver candles. I just picked up some small mason jars and candles to fit inside them and I was ready to get started.

The first jar I colored by mixing some Crystal Effects and Cherry Cobbler reinker and swirling the mixture around the inside of the jar. You would be shocked by how easy this is! Go give it a try right now! I then embellished the jar with some images from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set and Silver Ribbon.

The next jar i created a dipped look by embossing the bottom of the jar with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. I just pressed my VersaMark directly onto the jar and heat embossed just like I normally would. I didn't get a nice clean edge, so I just covered it up with some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

The last jar I wrapped a piece of Silver Foil Paper punched with the Confetti Stars Punch around the jar. I would love to see how the light shine through the stars. I bet it will be gorgeous! Some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine ties this jar to the others and finishes it off perfectly!

After I finished decorating the jars, I decided they would make a nice gift. So I made a little box out of the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper to keep them all together. For the jars I used, I cut my paper to 6" x 11-1/2" and scored at 1-3/4" on all sides. This just made it into the perfect little gift set!
