In My Thoughts Butterfly - Monday Montage

Hey all! We have another Monday Montage Blog Hop for you today. I hope you all had a great weekend. I sure did! I had lots of time to relax and stamp. I also went to my cousins 8th birthday party where she planned cupcake wars for all of us to play. It was pretty fun! I have a really pretty card that I made last week to share with you all.

I had the Dazzling Diamonds Butterfly laying around from another project, so I decided to put it to good use! I got this pretty color scheme to go with the butterfly from Pinterest (my go to place for colors!) and went from there. It may seem kind of odd to pair the rough look of the Handcarved Background stamp with the elegant butterfly, but it is that juxtaposition that really makes this card.

If you want to step a card up and make it feel really special, just add layers. This card doesn't really need the doilies or washi tape, but these special touches make the card look like a lot of thought was put into it. I really love the extra touch that sewing also provides, but remember there are always alternatives to sewing.
