Best To Come #TGIFC09

TGIF! I'm not going to lie. I am glad it is Friday. This week has been a long week with a tornado coming down our road and car trouble. Fortunately, the car should be an easy fix and we didn't have any damage from the tornado. (We were extremely lucky. The damage down the road was significant, and those families are in my thoughts.) I am looking forward to a weekend where I can just relax and enjoy a little bit of stamping. If you are looking to stamp this weekend as well, you should join the the latest challenge on TGIF Challenges.

Being as it is the last Friday of June this weeks challenge is the Monthly Remix. If you missed last month's remix, it is a really simple and fun concept. Just combine at least two of the challenges from the past month to make an awesome project. This month you can choose from the technique, sketch, or themed challenges. I decided to combine the technique, water-coloring, with the theme, newlyweds.

This is a really soft and pretty card. It didn't photograph well, but I embossed "the best is yet to come" in white and then water-colored over it with Pool Party ink. This allows for it to be a secondary message after the "congratulations." The glitter butterfly is created using Heat & Stick Powder and Silver Glitter. The glitter is just a really fun touch.

  1. Love this idea! I think that sentiment is just perfect for weddings. I just used it on an anniversary card for my husband. :-)
