A Little Something Pillow Pouches - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This week we are sharing our projects that will be featured on the Stampin' Up! Facebook tomorrow. Our projects will be showcasing the Cheer All Year and A Little Something stamp sets and the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies.

My project focuses on the A Little Something Set. This might me one of the best stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog because it is super versatile. To make it even better, the stamp set is bundled with the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies. Unlike other pillow box dies that I have used, this one is nice and big to hold many different gifts and treats. On this project I actually traced the curved edge of the die on the two cutouts and trimmed them to make little pouches instead of boxes.

I used some of my favorite specialty paper for the base of the pouches - Black Glimmer Paper for Halloween, Corrugated Paper for Thanksgiving, and Red Foil Sheets for Christmas. I had fun playing with textures by sewing together pieces of paper for the belly bands on the Halloween and Christmas ones, but may all means just use a single piece if you want to recreate this project. Each pouch was finished with a sentiment from the stamp set, a piece of trim of some kind, and a scrap of paper with cut outs from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies. The bags of popcorn are stamped (the Thanksgiving and Christmas ones are stamped in white and hard to seen in the photos) with more images from the stamp set. Some of the cotton ribbon in the 2014-2016 In Colors was perfect to tie the bags shut and pull everything together.
