Acorny Thank You - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hey everyone! It is time for a new Artisan Design Team blog hop! This week we are showcasing the Acorny Thank You Set and coordinating Acorn Builder Punch. This set is my favorite from the Holiday Catalog so I had a lot of fun playing with it.

I love the colors on these cards! The combination of Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Gold is really unexpected with this set. The two purples are perfect for creating a tone on tone look and the pop of green is great contrast.

On this card I did a quick water color wash in Rich Razzleberry for the Blackberry Bliss acorns to stand out on. The cluster of different trims behind the sentiment provide texture, interest and emphasize the focal point.

It is so easy to stamp the acorns in two different colors. The pieces are all separate and the set is photopolymer so it is also a breeze to line the images up. Since the Gold Metallic Thread is so delicate use a few strands to tie a bow. This will make it easier to tie and stand out more on the card.

This card is my absolute favorite of the set! I created a fun texture background with the Acorn Builder Punch. It is almost creates a look like using an embossing folder. The "Grateful For You" in the three colors provides a fun accent to the focal "Thankful" sentiment.

  1. I love your "out of the box" ideas for this stamp set! It is one of my favorites, too, but I have mostly made things that are more fall-colored. This gives me some new inspiration!
